This policy explains how content on learn.vex6.lol is researched, written, reviewed, and corrected, and how advertising is kept separate from editorial judgment. Health content carries consequences when it is wrong, so we would rather be explicit about our method than leave it implied.
Our Scope
We publish consumer education about how mental health treatment in the United States actually works — the levels of care, the therapy approaches people get referred to, what the major conditions involve, and what to expect when seeking care. We explain how things work. We do not recommend providers, facilities, insurers, platforms, or representatives, and we never will.
Sources
- We rely on primary government and nonprofit sources: federal and state agencies, official program documentation, statutes and regulations, and recognized professional bodies.
- We deliberately avoid commercial sources — treatment-center marketing, “best of” listicles, platform blogs, and affiliate content — because they have something to sell.
- We do not fabricate statistics. If a number cannot be attributed confidently, we describe the pattern in words instead.
- Where rules vary by state or plan, we describe the categories rather than presenting one jurisdiction’s rule as universal.
- Every article is original. We do not copy or spin content from other publishers.
How We Write
- Plain English, with clinical and administrative terms defined on first use.
- No fear, urgency, or pressure language, and no superlatives such as “best” or “guaranteed.”
- No miracle or cure framing. Recovery and outcomes are described realistically.
- Non-stigmatizing language throughout, including person-first phrasing and safe terminology around suicide.
- Clear statements of uncertainty where evidence is genuinely limited or contested.
- Headlines that describe what the article actually covers — no clickbait.
Safety Standards
Every article carries crisis resources and a disclaimer. We follow safe-messaging practice on suicide and self-harm: we never describe methods or means, never sensationalize, and always pair difficult subject matter with help-seeking information. We do not publish symptom checklists framed as self-diagnosis, and we do not publish medication dosing or tapering guidance.
Review and Dating
Every article shows a review or update date. Each is checked before publication for factual accuracy against its sources, for the required disclaimers and crisis resources, and to confirm it has not drifted into advising an individual reader.
Updates and Corrections
Rules and clinical guidance change; we revisit material when we learn of a relevant change and update the date on substantive revisions. We correct errors promptly. If something here is wrong, email support@vex6.lol with the article URL and the passage. Substantive corrections are noted on the page; minor fixes such as typos are made without a note.
Advertising and Editorial Independence
- This site is funded by display advertising, including Google AdSense.
- Advertisers have no input into what we publish and no advance access to articles.
- Ad placement is handled automatically and is kept visually distinct from article content.
- We accept no payment to feature, review, rank, or recommend anyone.
- We publish no sponsored posts or paid guest articles.
